Tinting them with the type of tint that still lets light through but it makes the light look darker? would look good on silver or black CL, is this possible?

Other's have already done this. You can purchase the tint i'm guessing from any normal tint place...

www.c-c-c.net also sells the tint for the taillights, but i believe it's pre-cut to fit over the signal indicator sectionn of the taillight.

i have a black 01 cls and was thinking about doing the same, junior mentioned to me that using the dark tint is not a good idea.

I wouldn't do it to my CLS, but I wonder what it would look like to have the tint on the red and leave the reverse light clear on a 2002 or 01.

yea they are '03 tailights, but the color should give you an idea of what the tint looks like on it.

Anyone have pics of 01-02 lights tinted, not 03' on the top, if i did this i wouldnt want to get run over when i put on the brakes! has anyone done this?

everytime tailight tint comes up somebody says something about brake lights..... the only thing that the tint covers are blinkers and reverse lights

im talking about tinting the full light, i know about the 03 tint that u can buy pre cut, would it be safe to tint the full light????

have you ever looked at the taillights on the silver pontiac grand ams, or gran prix's (not sure which it is). Their stock tails have a darker tint to them, and thats probably similar to how the 01-02 silver CL would look with the tint on the tails. I'm just guessing.

IMHO I'd still rather have the 03 tails, tinted or not.
