0% refinance on the car loan
Here is what you do:
Get one of those credit cards that give you 0% APR on the balance transfers, with no anual fee, and no blanace transfer fees ( make sure you check that first, some might charge you 3%) for 12 month ( I got the one for 15 month!!)
As soon as you are approved ( hopefully if you have good credit you will get enough credit ) -- ask them to do a balance transfer for you, they might ask you for the other credit card to transfer money from, tell them to send you a personal check directly to you instead and that you want to do it yourself( some will even give you that option ).
Once you get your check, pay off your car loan in full and from that time on you have a loan for 12-15? month at 0% interest.
You must be a responsible adult and absolutely be sure that you can pay it off in 1 year(or15 month). To me personally it made a lot of sense because my credit card payments are close to my car payments now ( except that i dont get screwed with the interest)
Here are the credit cards you want to considerl, for some you can apply on internet:
www.citi.com <- can apply on line for instant approval
www.chase.com
Hope this information helps, if your loan remaining balance is about 9-10K than 15 month 0% is a good thing... will save you some money.
This could save you $400-500 easy if your interest rate is like 8-9%
Especially good thing for people who bought their cars 2-3 years ago at a high interest like 7-9%
Enjoy
PS. Plus you get your title back from the bank and will get that feeling of owning something ( not really but feels good )
