Supposedly.

AmooManiaK and jgscott are the only ones that have them on. They say they fit with no problems.

i wonder if the say "you get what u pay for" falls under this category, cause i cant see how $220 headers can perform as good as comptech, or even close to them. but we shall see.

I don't have them on yet, I will get them put on on saturday along with all my other stuff.

Tunaboy had them on and he said he hasn't had any problems with them.

We all bought them from the same seller on ebay, and he told me that the Accord and CL-S have the same part # for these.

They're not really $220 headers. The seller said they're the "introductory" price and he has has ordered more than 20 more.

The price will most likely be raised once it receives good reviews.

The only other place that sells them online sells them for $475 plus shipping.

i expected to pay around 4-500 for these.

http://www.nexusindustry.com/alpha_i...L_Stype_01.htm

$475 as you can see.

this is obviously a promotional intro price... once the word is out these things are good then they'll sell well, esp as obx and stone are having fitment issues and these have none at all.

i will do a dyno sometime and we can get some data on this. i also raced my friend's wrx with my current setup without headers, and will be racing him again with the headers to see the gains on the street. i lost to him at about 1.5 car lengths, so if im not atleast even with him with these then.. they are a waste of $$

we'll just have to wait and see

-rez

BTW amoo u did have that dirt kinda thing inside your headers? are we supposed to clean that out? i dont see how we're supposed to keep those in there..

None of us are gonna have them on until a couple of days from now. Tunaboy is the only one I know of who got them from him and he says he's "liking the gains a lot so far"

How are we supposed to clean the inside, I mean with what?

1. spray inside of tubes with carb cleaner
2. insert stiff metal wire with one side bent into a tight "hook"(straightened coat hanger works)
3. attach heavy cotton shop rag to hooked end of wire
4. pull wire thru each pipe from opposite end (if you rotate wire in a circle as you draw thru pipe it will create a scouring action
5 repeat same proceedure with second rag thru each pipe

Would it really matter if you didn't clean the inside of them?

Wouldn't the grease in there make exhaust passage easier?

Maybe it's there for a reason.

It's probly just metal conditioner to keep them from rusting.

Kinda like new rotors.

I just talked to the seller and he said we don't have to wipe it out.

I asked him why they're $220 and some of you paid 275 a week ago and he realized that he relisted the auction at the wrong price, lol. I hope some of you guys who bought it last week feel better now :blaze:

Received Alpha Werks headers today

Will try to get them installed next friday,

I got them for $285 brand new. I want to make sure that things go fine so i have a few questions.

1) First I received the header part AWHDHA98026CLY Accord 6 cly, but I heard this will fit my 03 Cl-S perfectly with no fitment problems. Anyone want to verify?

2) What do I need to tell the guys installing them? They need to use my stock gaskets, the words alpha werks should be in the back and not in the front, and they need to make sure to be careful with the O2 device (whats this called so I dont sound stupid). Anything else? I am banking on there is no fitment problems otherwise its going to cost a pretty penny for the install if things go wrong.

I cant wait for the performance gains, the headers feel lighter than I thought they would be!

thanks rezurex for all the advice you have given, any know resonance problem, I know the fitment is supposed to be perfect but I wonder if they will hold up quality wise and if they will crack like obx headers do.

I also wanted to thank whoever hooked me up with freemans number as he actually delivered them himself to me since we live in the same location. Thank you to whoever it was, otherwise Id be stuck paying $450 shipped from nexus themselves

Although I believe you all i still dont understand how the accord v6 headers from alpha werks are the exact same as the alpha werks cl-s headers. Since the accord and cl engines arent the same how is this possible, and does the accord headers give less hp and torque on a cl-s then the headers specified as made for the cl-s

Another thing, to ultimately get the best gains out of the headers what is suggested after installing them. I am going to be driving home on the highway, when I get home should I disconnect the battery for 30 minutes, connect it, drive it really really hard, or will the computer just adjust itself even if I am not driving hard. Also, how long should it take until the computer is adjusted and I feel the increase in power.
