I would never spend 100K on one car. I'd have a $50K car, a $30k car and a $20k car. One would be fast, one would be a convertible and one would be a daily driver.

if we can only get one car? M5, and then use the money left over to trick it out even more.

if not, spread it around 3 cars, 50K, 30K, 20K, like mentioned above...

Assuming that I could afford to own a 100k car ... I'd get a Ferrari F355 F1 convertible. Paddle shifters (for commuting teehee) and the wail of the Prancing Horses =)

First, I'd buy out my CLS from the lease I have and then mod it out - 3.5L, Lvl 10 trans, headers, cam?, exhaust, sways, shocks, final drive gear increase?, subwoofer, CAI,supercharger when/if avail, ... Then I'd buy a Corvette convertible - probably silver with red leather - and add some SLP mods (turbo or sprchrger ?) and gears to get it to 12 flat or better. CLS daily car. Vette for fun.

Hmmm... $100,000.00 to spend.
Lincoln Navigator $45,000
Acura CL-S $30,000
A nice used convertible $25,000

Now, can I have some more money to spend please? I saw this convertible Bentley I also wanted

CL 600 definitely, and if that's over $100K, then a CL 55. I wouldn't spread it like mentioned before. I wouldn't really want any car that's $20k, for that I'll stay happy with my CL-S.

Not too fast? 12.9 sec for the 1/4 mile for the 2001 model. And 4.6 for the 0-60mph. This is Z06 teritory. Anything below 13secs is super-car teritory big time. This is a fast car here.

Hmm...$100k to spend...

Definitely would NOT go with a Ferrari. A friend of mine bought one at the height of the dot-com bubble and his (very wise) advice after selling it for an M5 was "no one with less than $10 million in liquid assests should own a Ferrari". THis was after it spent more time at the dealer than in his garage. I saw it, it was beautiful, but that's the kind of car you own just so you can say you own it.

I'd go with an M5 and a 1966 Corvette Stingray convertible (about $40k) for when the weather's nice. Oh wait, I live in SoCal, it's always nice. :-)

Go look at the pic of the engine and imagine two CAI's in silver coming off of the top, now that would be cherry.

The price of the Modena would probably go up by the time you made enough on your investment (unless you are an investing guru, in which case you could earn enough to buy a Modena even with 5K). Modenas are sweeet tho.. wouldn't mind owning one myself.
