Thanks, 25 minutes in my oven was enough to melt the housing, it's trashed. I was trying to reseal it for a water leak. :arrrrrrghhhhhh:

What do you mean, from Acura? Those prices are from JuniorBeam's site. From an Acura dealer, it would probably be a little more money.

I'm just pissed cause I also had the balast go out a second time from water damage, $250. I was trying to seal the headlight so it wouldn't happen again. Oh well.

No warranty?? I've had one headlight replaced and now it's time for the other one, leaky crap. at least it's under warranty tho.

How hot did you have it? and I assume you used a wet towel or something to buffer it from the hot metal?

um, i think the problem was that you had it in there for 25 minutes!!!

6-8 minutes @ 300 degrees is more than enough.

were your headlights cleared? if not, then acura should of replaced them under warranty (if you're still under warranty).
