staggered setup question???
Guys/wheel experts quick question.
Front - 18x7.5 +50 offset.
Rear - 18x8.5 +47 offset.
I'm thinking about purchasing the wheels off of Honda S2000 and replacing the existing tires to 225/40/18. My TSX will have comptech springs w/ spc rear camber kit.
Thanx.

uhh I see unlike "Ontilt" guy I dont really want that ghetto stagger look on my ride but the volks wheels on the S2k is soooo sexxxy and the price is right. I would run 225/40/18 front and back.

If you insist on staggering a FWD car, at least put the wider tires on the front. It will still look ridiculous and you will surely get killed by oversteering off a cliff, but that's a small price to pay.

Dude dont listen to these guys!!!
I have a 04 black TSX with MB Motorsport wheels 18x8 +45mm and 18x9 +45mm
offset, 2.5inch lip front and 3.5inch back lip running yokos 235/35/18 & 255/35/18 and it looks and fills perfect even when you push the car at the apex !!!
But it will depend on your car setup and what kind of motifications you have done on your car. I have a TEIN FLEX full coilover susspention with on fly EDFC controler so I can change the damping of the shocks front to back depend if I'm on track or city driving also comptech rear sway bar to stiffen up the rear axel for less body roll and 4 corner camber ajustment kit.
My problem was that the tsx was overstering too much when i pushed it coming out of the corner do to light backside and FWD nature. Putting slitly bigger rubber on the back stoped it in my senerio. The TSX by far is not a 50/50 weight-ratio automobile, it is very front heavy so for me using a larger back tire setup perfectly ballanced out the car with the right stiffness and demping setup.
Guys also if you wanna do mirracles to your stopping power I highly suggest Rotora Big Breaks for your car. The stopping improved almost 20feet over stock on these rubbers. Yesterday just ordered 4 new wheels by OZ 18x8 +45mm front and 18X9 +55mm back can't wait to get them! Any question you can email me at shifi@sbcglobal.net .By the way you can still rotate your tires to side to side I been doing it since running Yokos and there is absolutly nothing Getto about it I been stopped by a cop even to compliment on my car !!! Just look at an M3 not a bad look ofter all (I know it's RWD) "but if the glove fits use it"

I'm tired of arguing with people who thinks wider rear wheel/tire stagger in a FWD car will improve the handling characteristics. I had the same discussion over at the Prelude board just about a month ago. So my comment to those who are thinking (or have already done it) about going with this setup in a FWD car is that this setup is all for appearance ONLY. You're fooling yourself by thinking that it will actually improve the handling. If appearance is all you want, go for this setup. Just don't go around telling everyone that this actually improve handling. 99.999999% of all the Pro and amateur race teams who are running FWD cars will agree with me that this is NOT the way to go if handling is what you're after.

, there's no way 18x9 on a 255 will fit.

Hi Everyone!
I have tonns of pics on my Pc but I try to post them and never turn out.
I must be doing something wrong.
And for the guy or (gal) who thinks it's bs I have OZ Superlelegra Racing Silver on order, the sizes are (front)18x8 +45mm 235/40/18 and the (back) 18x9 +55mm 275/35/18. I will nicely fill out the wheel wells.
If anybody have a way to simply post photos without going to a website and do all the bs sighning up, It would really help me.

What I meen by side to side is the you take off the front right tire from the wheel and put it on the left front wheel and vice versa. Same on the back since steggerd fitment you can't move or (rotate) wheel/tires from front to back genius !!!
And yes these are AVS100 tires and nothing absurd about these tires since they are simmetrical pattern rubber.

There's absolutely no way your 18x9 +45 setup w/ 255/35/18 fits in the rear
the TL A-Spec 18x8.5 +45 235/40/18 don't fit already and your current setup is .4 in farther out. Your new setup will be slightly better, a little more than flush w/ the fender, but the back clearence is unknown, no one has tried to fit that much inside the wheel well.
