I have the a-spec suspension only, the ride comfort stays the same for the most part... except when you're going over potholes. It doesn't lower the car very much (about an inch). There's less dip and body roll, overall i'm very satisfied.

i got the suspension kit too. it feels close to stock but slightly firmer and goes over bumps firmly but still comfortable. i like it. and it cures the body roll. after adding the rear swar bar, it feels a lot stiffer over bumps.

Brand new A-Spec suspension installed for $320? I thought they're mostly priced around $800 installed.

I installed it myself, it's pretty straight forward. If you buy the kit online, it might not come with the instructions, if you need it let me know, i got it from another person on this forum. I bought the kit online from curry acura for 575 +S&H heres the link: a-spec suspension

$320? Wow man... that sounds like a rip to me... but I guess if you want the "peace of mind" of having the dealership do it, it's worth whatever amount you're willing to pay...

Can't you almost buy a TL non-Navi for a TSX with A-SPEC installed by the dealer? I've never seen an ASPEC TSX.

Hey Youngowner,
What % tint is that? i hope it's a 35%. It doesn't look half bad for a 35%. I want to get 20% really bad but dont want to popo giving me and trouble for tint.

Can A-spec suspension be lowered further than 1-1.25"?

I know the A-spec suspension kit lowers the car about 1-1.25". Is the lowering adjustable (like a person can do with coilovers)? Can it be lowered more than 1-1.25" to maybe about 1.5" with the A-spec suspension kit?

Because I think the car would look better if it were lowered a bit more, it looks too damn stock (for my personal taste) from the pictures of cars I've seen. But I like the fact A-spec preserves the car's warranty so it would be great if the car could be lowered further using the kit.

The ride height is not adjustable on the A-spec. If you want lower, then the A-spec is not for you. The A-spec does not preserve the car's warranty if it's not installed by the dealer at delivery.

Wait... If I were to order the A-Spec kit from an online retailer and then had my dealership, it would void my warranty??? That doesn't make sense......

It doesn't void the warranty but it doesn't tie to the car's existing warranty length either.

Nope. If you have the A-Spec installed by the dealer at any point, it will carry the balance of the new car warranty (or 1 year/12k if that is longer). The dealers are absolutely wrong about this and will tell you otherwise (only 12 months/have to do it at purchase/etc.).

This from the Honda/Acura accessories site:

39. What is the Warranty on my Genuine Honda or Acura Accessory?
Accessories Installed Prior to Retail Sale:
If the Honda Accessory was purchased at the time of the new vehicle purchase: the warranty begins on the same date as the New Vehicle Limited Warranty. All accessories are covered for the length of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty: 3 years/36,000 miles, whichever comes first.

If the Acura Accessory was purchased at the time of the new vehicle purchase: the warranty begins on the same date as the New Vehicle Limited Warranty. All accessories are covered for the length of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty: 4 years/50,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Accessories Installed by the eStore Dealer After Retail Sale:
This warranty begins on the date the accessory is installed on the vehicle. All accessories are covered for the longer of the following two periods: The time remaining in the New Vehicle Limited Warranty, or 1 year/12,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Accessories Not Installed by an eStore Dealer: This warranty begins on the date the accessory is purchased from an eStore Dealer. All accessories are covered for 1 year.

Good info. It's probably a good idea to have it in writing from the dealer performing the install.

Looks pretty straight-forward for the most part....

Where exactly to jack the car to "load the vehicle's weigh on the suspension" though?

Question A-Spec install: Is this a DIY?

Hey guys, i've installed head units, alarm systems, oem trunk spoilers before on my accord, so I'm pretty technical but should I be doing suspension installs if I never messed with suspensions before? Is this something I should let the dealership install? Does the car need to be aligned after the install? TIA

The A-Spec can easily be installed by anyone with a little mechanical aptitude and an extra pair of hands to help.

And yes, after the install, get the car aligned.

The only thing you should know. especially if you never lowered a car before....... alway's use a spring compressor when taking apart stock struts/springs. or you can loose your life.

i have the full a-spec package, got it for free since the guy who owned the car before me had it installed. I love it, makes the car look and feel more agressive without taking away much practicality. My old civic was lowered 2.5 inches, i love being able to go over speedbumps without having to say a prayer everytime.

Those pics are awesome... definately gave me the info I need to install my springs except for one question I'm hoping someone can answer.

The part where it says to use the floor jack to raise the suspension and load it with the vehicle's weight... Where on the suspension do you put the jack to do that?

Thanks

If you got back a page and look at the Aspec installation instructions, in step 2, right above the words "damper fork through bolt" there is a nub looking thing. Basically, right behind the rotor, there is a solid steel connection (someone else could give you the proper name) but you just put the jack under there, and jack it up until the fork fits into the damper and the tighten
