It takes a bit of work to deal with it, and some people get stuck doing the rear endlinks. I rather pay for a shop who did in 1.5 hrs vs me and a friend about 4-5 hours.

^ well if you got the money... what I did was buy all reused OEM parts like the top hat and all the bolts and washers, and I just put them on the Basics. Then I just popped the stock struts out and these in. No need for a spring compressor or anything. ALl the parts will run about 200 though...I did it so I can keep all the parts in one assembly. for both sets of suspension.

Thats a good idea but 200 is kinda hefty

I had a couple hiccups but could redo the install in 2 hrs or so... longer without air tools... shorter with a helper... I am no pro, so I am sure you can do the install just fine with proper tools and some common sense.

You only need a spring compressor if you're installing separate shocks and springs. Unless you had to take the stock suspension apart for parts?

You disassembled the stock assembly without compressing the spring first?

yup yup. it really wasnt that bad. the rears i jus took out all the way and flipped it upside down and undid it. but there was not that much tension on the spring so it was not a big deal.

well i left the 3 top nuts in under the hood for the strut mount. then i undid the y peice that the bottom of the shock goes into. i got that out of the way then i undid the nut for the strut rod. i left the strut mount bolted to the car i never took that off. but i also unhooked the link part for the sway bar cause that was getting in my way. i was going to take pics but i could not find my camera. but it was pretty easy.for me atleast

So I installed my basics successfully but my rear clunks now and I can't figure out whats wrong with it. All the top bolts are tight, the endlinks are tight, everything is nice and tight yet it still clunks when the road gets a little bumpy. Any ideas?

Well in the rear passenger I couldn't get the bottom of the shock out so I started loosening both ends of the endlink (which was unnecessary) and I only tightened one side up and totally forgot about the other, oops
