I think I like the chrome OEM now!

What do you guys think? I always thought that the regular oem rims on the 06 and up tsx were rather boring. But these chromed ones look much better imho. What do you guys think?

One more pic of the tsx chromed rims. I don't work for these guys or anything, but I am thinking of getting these. Opinions?

Hmmm.. guess it could work, but if that company that does the chroming could do something like gunmetal or hyper black, I think I would get that instead.

Guess it wouldn't look too bad, but it depends on the colour of your car too.

I have a CGP. Awhile back I saw a CGP that had this plating done. I wonder if there are places that will just let you do the chrome plating on your original rims. It might be cheaper.

It would look okay, but if you really are planning on getting those rims, I'd suggest going out and finding an aftermarket rim that would probably look better. You're going to be spending this money on ANOTHER set of OEMs, although they're chromed.

Unless of course, you can send your OEs to them or something, in which case, you'd still need another set of wheels lol. I'd rather go aftermarket.

How much does it cost to chrome rims? I see the ebay add specifies that you have to give them a $400 security deposit, which they'll refund when you send them your OEM rims. So you'll pay shipping for two sets of rims, plus mounting/dismounting tires.

That ebay listing says it ships from Van Nuys, so I can check it out in person...but they don't specify their address anywhere.

It looks better than I expected...but I'm not too fond of (any) chrome rims (maybe black chrome)

I was thinking of getting the same wheel 06-08 rims chromed, same ebay dealer actually lol, but after seeing a bunch of cars with chrome wheels, driving around, and on here. I'm not digging the chrome. Feel it might be too much along with our chrome accents.

I feel our stock rims are already pretty shiny, compared to other OEM rims.

They have a website: http://stores.ebay.com/L-A-Wheel-And...ontact-Us.html

Showroom address:
L.A. Wheel & Tire
14141 Covello Street
Building 1AB
Van Nuys, CA 91405

I'm in San Diego. It might be worth it to drive there sometime and just have them do my rims without the annoying shipping. I just remember seeing someone with these chrome oem rims and thinking they looked good. But maybe it is just too shiny. The problem is I can't imagine what it looks like well enough.
There are no pics on the net of tsx's with the chrome oem '06 rims, and I suck at photoshop

I think color matters a lot too. I saw a CGP with these chrome rims and it seemed subtle enough. Not too showy, actually classy. Of course, I could have just been enamored with the tsx b/c I didn't have it yet

Chrome OEM TL wheels look better than chrome OEM TSX wheels, in my opinion.

^^agreed

I don't like the 06+ rims at all...chrome or no chrome. I would save up your money and get some real wheels.

Can you possibly post up a set of pictures that show what the rims look like on your car? I'd really appreciate it. Also, I believe the very same ebay seller that is listed on the image I posted (l.a. wheels) sells the chrome center caps. I'd look them up on ebay and contact them. I think this is a link that will work:

I personally like the Chrome look. I dont see it as too "flashy" at all...

Now it would look bad if you had persay 20 inch chrome rims + Chrome pillars + Chrome gas lid

Oh and mines came with the Chrome "A" Center caps...

I did walk in the dealer the other day and saw they were selling the same rims I have with the blank chrome center caps and it looked

The chrome matches the exhaust and trim well. Plenty of upscale brands offer chrome rims as part of their packages. So there's something to be said about it not being trashy per se. I think those rims work alright for the pwp too. It's a pretty versatile color. I'm still hoping wisdumb2 will post pics of his tsx rims in chrome.

It should be noted that chroming your wheels adds a pound or two to each wheel (it makes a difference). Also, chrome on aluminum will inevitably start to flake since there is no chemical bond between the two metals.

I'm surprised that I'm not appalled by them though. It actually looks decent if that's the style you're into. Way to flashy for me though.

Awesome. I actually saw a pwp with these the other day. That color combo doesn't look too bad with chomed oem rims.
