how low cani go with these wheels???

hi ihave a 06 PWP TSX i bought the car from some one that had put on some gehtto 20'' wheels car looks wierd, now i am looking into nice "chill" wheels not sporty wheels (volks, rotas .ect.), i wanna get some 19" wheels and get the lip of the wheels color matched PWP and have the centers matte black...i think if i got 18'' or smaller wheels it would look wierd...well the question is how low can i go if i had 19'' wheels say a 225/35 /19 series tire ??

The tire size guide is your friend for that kind of question.

Secondly, I think you should consider 18's. 20's are definitely too much, and if you don't get the riht wheels, 19's are starting to push it IMHO.

Ugh. What the fuck are you asking? If you can't express your thoughts in words the rest of us can understand, how are we supposed to answer your "question"?

Well, is this a question that you want to get told (and probably wrong) by others?

First, if you want to know an answer, you need to ask a proper question, and given info.

225/35/19 will not make it for TSX, or else there will be speedometer differences. Try 235/35/19. You can probably drops at least (or at most) 2", it depends on your rims (you don't have definite set); your camber setting (You can lower more by having negative camber, but it will shorten your tires lifespan); and if you are experience any rubbing on the drop.

Yes, it's a complicate question.

lol... Then I guess you have low expectation.

If everyone tells you the max drop of your car is 3" on 19", will you trust that and go w/ it? There's a lot of variation in between, espeically you have not decided on your rims/tires size yet. You will be the only one that can answer that question thru trial and error.

If you want to properly fit 19" wheels, get coil overs and your problem is solved. This forum is much more helpful than any forum in your cache, so I don't what's with your gripe.

VWong's CL9 on 19" Volk GT-7 on TeinFLEX

Lito's CL9 on 19" Volk GT-V on TeinFLEX

FreDroRN's CL9 on 19" Work VS-XX on TeinFLEX

Do you see the pattern? I can go on & on with endless results of members with 19" wheels and being lowered. But why should I, Chuson or anyone else do your homework for you? You should feel privileged that people take time to offer you some help, but I guess you are 17 so it's "w/e."

^ btw, I'm about to pick some 19", but will be running on SS. I'm not ballers like them to run Flex.

Ohh6tsx, I'm sorry, but 19" black with white lip is terrible combo ever. I know, I know... everyone has different taste. You should definitely do some research instead of finding easy way out. Btw, tsx is a FWD, not RWD. Hope you weren't thinking about running some stagger or deep dish.

well, the answer is more in depth than listed above really.

the question is NOT, "how low can I go on 19's."

the question IS, "how low do you want to go on 19's? how much you want to pay?"

if you have the money, you can drop it right to the ground.
the air runner suspension will run you about $4k or so and another $2k for the install probably.

if you're not into going that low with your rear tire tucking by several inches,
then run coilovers.

with coilovers you can tuck as well, but you have to be concerned with
rim offsets and widths. plus you have to roll your fenders and tuck or
eliminate your inner plastic fender wells.

With Tein CST, MonoFlex, Flex, or SS you can get about as low as you want.
Buddy Club, blah, blah, many coilovers can get you low.

click the link in my sig and check out the suspension available there.

and where is Wong...?

Got none. These were all pulled from the TSX Wheels Gallery on 'flickr'. Just demonstrating that anything above 19" doesn't look good on a TSX - with the exception of the first.

OP... i dont think its how low can you go with 19's.... it's how low you're WILLING to go. anything is achievable... imo. just depends on how much cutting, rolling, what wheel size/combo you're getting...
