Help me decide!

The time has come to move on from stock 17x7's and stock (shit) tires on my 04 CGP.

I've been thinking about this for some time, and have it narrowed down a bit. I've used the Wheel Gallery for as much as I could, too.

The Contenders

1. WedsSport TC005 - light grey painted, 18x8 +48
I like this wheel a lot. It's from a reputed maker, it looks nice and agressive, and is LIGHT (17lbs!)
2. OZ Ultraleggara - black painted, 18x8 +48 - just saw this today and was really curious how it would look on my TSX. anyone have pics? Also light at 18.5lbs.
3. RonJon Inspyre - silver finished, 18's. These just look classy, and the way they're designed makes even 18's look bigger on the car.

Tires are going to be Kuhmo Ecsta STP 235/40/18, most likely.

Please help me spend a large portion of my bonus!

Out of the 3, I'm partial to the RonJons. The Weds seem to the trendy option now, as they are nice and similar to the TL-S wheels, but I just never cared for the design.

Any of those wheels besides the Inspyres will look good IMO. I saw pics of the RPF1s mounted on a CGP on this forum a couple months ago, looked pretty good.

i think the OZ Ultraleggeras are too dark for a CG car....the sheen and texture of the Tc005 looks better. A couple or TSXers have em, so if you search, you'd see how they look. I like em...

the RJs aren't really my style, and the Enkei's will look like a smaller diameter rim. Not really feelin those 2 personally.

I'd get the WedSport TC005's. Their style would compliment the TSX quite well while still looking pretty aggressive.

Avoid all of these. They are played in my opinion. But if I HAD to choose I would do the RON JONs They are classic and not trendy. If I had the cheese, I would have opted for these myself... or the new one they came out with...

I agree, they are only recently popular on this forum. I haven't seen these rims on any TSX or any other car in my area.

Make your decision on the merits of the rim, not on the number of people who have them.

None of them. But if I had to choose one, it'd be the OZ's.

You're right about there being only six or seven of them, I don't care for the style of the wheel. That is what I meant by being "played" As for the Enkei, it looks too small with the wider lip.

Thanks for all the feedback, everybody. I'm now torn between the TC005's and the SA-70's. I managed to overlook the SA-70's before and I really do like those.

Question: the SA-70's are +50 offset compared to the TC005's +42; what does this change, if anything, as far as tire sizing goes? Would 235/40/18 still be a good choice for 18x8's?

Oh I'm sorry if I gave you worng info. However I got something from the website.

"Finally, we introduce our new flagship wheel(Legend), this mesh design is a Low Pressure cast structure with the forged technology of machining the face before and after paint......"

What does it mean by that? I have no idea about the forged technology but the word "forged" in there

It means they are cast, and then they machine the surface before painting. I have no idea how you "machine" a painted surface, I assume they machine the non-painted parts again to clean up any paint residue.

Putting the words "forged technology" is big-time marketing speak.

Best,

The higher offset will make the wheel sit further inside the wheel well. If you ran the +42 wheels with 235 series tires you would run the risk of rubbing depending on your drop. The +50 offset shouldnt give you any problems.

235/40/18 tires are a perfect choice for 18x8 wheels.

Personally I would go with the SA-70s
