hankook ventus v12 vs nitto neogenz
anyone try /or running hankook ventus v12s??
i have experience with nitto neogenz and they are pretty great tires
but i wanted to try something different out also nitto neogenz dont make 215/50 so i was using 215/45 on stock tsx rims didnt really feel anything bad.
apparently hankook ventus v12 got 2 place in car and drivers tire selection last yr or something like that ??
well anyone have any experiences?? thnx

If anyone got some pics of the Ventus V12, I would appreciate it, from some of the pics, I wasn't feeling the side wall design and how it can look a bit like a " bloated intertube" if that makes sense.
These are one of my finalist for replacing my OEM, is my sidewall appearance legitimate with the Ventus V12?

Hankook ventus v12 evo's all the way, i just got them for my Mazda 6 GT and my TSX, soo sticky in dry and wet. You will not be dissapointed. Discount tire.com has them for 100 bucks each for our size.

Ventus V12 evo is a dedicated summer tire. If you don't need light snow traction, there is no reason to go with the NeoGen, especially if you are comparing it to the superior Ventus V12 evo.
If you need light snow traction and don't want dedicated winter, then you'd be better off with the best UHP A/S tire you can afford.

I too am considering the Hankooks to replace OEMs on my '05.
Anyone care to weigh in on the treadlife of the ventus v12 evo? I have read a few reports that they are a bit softer and treadlife is pretty poor. I know the UTQG (280) is very subjective, subject to driving style, etc, but I haven't been able to find much consistency in treadlife reports. I've read some that have lasted 30k miles, and some people have reported only 12 to 15k miles. Thoughts?

Also looking to hear comments about this tire in the rain. anyone have a hill/stoplight combo? Just wondering how they feel with the car on an incline and start in the rain. OEM suck for this, I had some Pirelli PZero Nero M&S on a 2K1 Maxima. They worked our great in this situation, but are AS and pricey.
Thanks.
Thanks.

"In the wet ... the V12s were as sporty and connected as they come, with grip second only to the PS2s’ and the best braking. The Hankooks were extremely consistent, likely because they were so well-behaved, which made them easy to drive quickly. Subjectively, they felt the best around the track, even though their time trailed slightly behind the Dunlops’." - From Car & Driver's July 2009 Tire Test

Thanks, but was hoping to hear real world experience. Too many reviews are not that accurate, either way they are slanted.

Fantastic in the rain. Just like the car and driver review said. The grooves in the middle are very deep and push alot of water out. You will not have a problem in the rain with them. My buddy has them on his 2008 corvetter also for summer and also has no problems getting traction in all conditions in the summer.

Thanks! Now to just wait for another rebate from DTD to put them on.
