try posting under "tires, wheels, and suspension." anyway, i'm on tein basic coilovers ... nothing fancy, but they get the job done. ride is smooth and uncompromising - unless, of course, you feel liker lowering your car over 1.5" also, you're gonna need a rear camber kit if you drop your tsx

^^ i too am on tein basic coilovers....

i figured no need to spring the extra dough for the SS seeing as I definitely wouldn't be adjusting the dampening very often seeing as you have to remove the rear seatpan and side bolsters to get at the tops of the towers in the rear, and i definitely wouldn't spring for the EDFC... the tein basics are great and i have no complaints so far... it's only SLIGHTLY stiffer than stock, so it makes for a great ride even if your car is full of people..

don't get anything except Flex or Buddy Clubs (or something w/ full length adjustment) if you want to slam it

What I meant was that on the Tein website, it says that the Tein Basic Coilovers are rated to drop the -2.0" in the front and -1.6" in the rear. Is that not possible or not recommended?

that's probably a good drop for the Basics

would you drop it all the way down with the basics? Would that make the ride even stiffer?

too expensive? lol. I like the basics because they're in a good price range and I think i'm getting a good bang for my buck.

What are you guys settings on the basics?

I have the same question....does lowering it more than 1 to 1.5 inches make it a lot more stiff?

The lower range on the Basics for the TSX are -0.5 to -3.3 for the front and -0.6 to -2.4 in the rear.

So what if you drop -2 in the front and rear, would that make the ride a lot more stiffer compared to stock?

Secondly, is it safe and recommended to do so for the TSX?

I ask because it seems like everyone is just dropping an inch or so.

yes, basically you're changing the spring preload when you adjust the height on the basics or SS, the preload will affect the spring rate, so if you drop it to the max its not all that comfortable
