those wheels are really nice but you will be really close to being flush with the car on those wheels. I have a set of volks with a +43 offset and they are really close to being in line with the side of the car. The ideal offset i would have to say is between +45 and +52.

exact copy of the g-games 77s. those aren't even that expensive, get the real thing. I had 18x7.5 +42 and IMO they're perfectly flush, in a 18x8 you'd want ~45mm

Hi Xizor. what size tire are you running with your +42mm wheels?

Those do look a lot like the G-Games 77s. However, I think the spokes on the G-Games are straight which results in a much smaller lip. I like the Axis version w/ the curved spokes and the resulting larger lip better.

But, if they only come in a +40 offset in 18x8, I would not get them as you will definitely run into rubbing issues.

I almost bought the G-Games 77s until I found out that they were approximately 30 lbs/rim!

I have the g games 18*7.5. The lip is smaller, and there are no rivets.

Alter...you sure they weight that much? I weighed my stock rims are the g games with 18s were 2 pounds lighter.

The picture isn't a 18x8 +40, so to say that's the lip you get is a misunderstanding. And no way do 77s weigh 30lb, I don't think Ray's could even try to make a wheel that heavy. the 77w weigh 19lb for a 18in so I'd say that's how much the 77s weigh, and that fits w/ BlackTSX saying he shaved off 2lb.

Axis definitely has a history of making knockoff designs. They've previously made knockoffs of BBS, Veilside, and Work rims.

WRT the 30 lb weight, it was information provided by Discount Tire. They showed me their database of wheels they carried. It had offsets, bolt patterns, weight, etc.

I knew that the 77w was pretty light. I figured the 77s may be heavier due to it being a 10 spoke design.

thanks for all the info fellas... i really wanted to get the sidewinder 2pc but in 18's. couldn't find anyone who had them. so i figured this would be the next best thing... 19's would be nice but i really don't want 35 series tires... thanks again...

that is true, I think the 2pc are only 19in, so if you want 18 I guess that's a good reason to go w/ the axis

well, according to axis the wheel is made exclusively in 18's & weights 21lbs each. but because of the off-set, i'll probably pass on the wheel...

I was pretty surprised when I saw the weight spec being that these rims are made by Rays. I asked how accurate their database was. The salesperson told me the info was from the mfg.

Although Discount Tire's website doesn't list the 18" version, they can order it. It's cheaper than the 19s and would probably take about 6 weeks to get.

I think the 77s would look great on a TSX.

Meh, too many spokes. I've seen a few TSX's with the 77s in the wheel gallery and they dont do it for me...

I think the ones you have are the 1-piece Sidewinders, as tires.com calls it

Yeah those would be them.

Alter...im not questioning what you say the weight is, im just curious. I think i had the stocks with wheels and tires at about 42-43 pounds and the g games and nitto neo gens at 40-41 pounds, but that was on my scale at home.

its possible teh 2-piece just weigh a lot. I picked up a 2-piece 77w and it was light, ~20lb, I can't imagine the 77s being that much worse.

I've got the 77s (Sidewinder) in 17 and weighed them before I had the tires mounted. They were 17lb each, which is 5lb or so lighter than stock. I can't imagine the 18 inch weheels being more than 3-5lb heavier, if that.

I stand corrected. Glad to know that Discount Tire was wrong about the weight.

In case it's not clear in this thread, I don't know the actual weight of the 18x8 77s. I've never handled them personally. I only mentioned the 30 lb figure as that was what Discount Tire showed me as the weight listed in their database. Too bad their info was wrong as it kept me from buying these rims.

Post some pics of your car. I'd really like to see how they look on a TSX. Thanks.
