By the time you hit 60mph he's going about 85. Not gonna happen. I think the 'speed3 is one of the best bang-for-the-buck performance values around. And it's a pretty useful hatchback configuration with some nice "luxury" touches -- kudos to Mazda.
2.3L4 Mazda 3 auto is not as quick as a 5AT TSX based on some experiences. I'm not sure about how the manuals compare. M3 speed is one fast car - has a relatively weak chassis but a lot of bang for the buck.

I laughed when I read this because the exact thing happened to a MS3 while I was at Lime Rock a few weekends ago. I wish I could find the video of it.
