Those came with ~260 HP. I assume if it was stock and auto, u could keep up with 1 with your MT and bolt ons. He also had to have crappy fuel lol

^ to the OP: i defended you through your accident thread. You just got the car fixed. im all for having a little fun but what makes you so quick to race someone at speeds reaching 120? Chill out a bit.

Im not dogging the TSX, their a good cruising car, and nice to look at, however it wont run with a CLS6.. TSX 15.6-second quarter time < CL-S 6 14.2 quarter mile time... doesnt seem like much but thats a huge difference on the street.

Are those Car and Driver numbers or something?? I've never seen a CL-S run low 14's.. stock auto that is. I'd say with the guys mods compared to a stock CL-S.. keeping up is bad since you should've left him!

I agree. All the stock, auto, cl-s I have seen run have been low-mid 15's. Actually, I think the one cl-s stock 6 speed i have seen run did a 15 flat. But that was one guy/one day so not exactly a good sample size.

is this a serious post? the only way i could see you keeping up with it is if the CL was auto, stock, and had an old lady driving it

from a dig, the CLS auto or 6spd would eat our TSX... but with mods and 6spd TSX, you would hang with him from a roll

you guys give no credit to the cl.

For the record back when I had a 2001 Acura cl... it Still beat a volvo V70R (twin turbo) 1/4 mile from a stand still by 2-3 lengths.

I got a cl-s now with an Injen CAI (installed it 2 nights ago in 2 hrs somehow) and yea it hauls.

Many numbers posted back when the car originally came out were exceptionally slow. like 16.0s 1/4 mile slow.

CL-S should absolutely eat any TSX that's not running boost. Those things are torquey monsters, especially with a 6MT.

Since the stock v70r was a single turbo and ran ~14 flat i cant imagine what this twin turbo model ran - ~13.0? You beat it by 2-3 lengths which means you were running in the 12's? Was that with a stock cl-s or was it modded with an intake too? Did the Volvo owner realize that you were racing?

Look guys, i love the cl-s as much as the next guy (maybe not the self-destruct auto though). No doubt from a roll, with your numbers you guys should be eating the tsx alive. But unless someone who is running these mythical 12's in their cl-s wants to post up a timeslip I am not buying it.

The quickest proven stock auto I have found is ~14.9 and stick at ~14.5. Neither of those were close to sea level so I am sure someone can come up a few tenths quicker.

I know the cl guys are going to be all over me for this one. So PROVE me wrong, nothing would make me happier, not to mention add some much needed validity to this quickly slipping thread.

I had both cars...just sold my CL-S. Still have my tsx. Stock the CL-S would kick my tsx's a$$... but with your mod list I can def. say you would be even with an auto CL-S. The only thing he might have on you is low end tq. If he was 6 speed he might of just barely got you.

props to you.

I know the 2nd gen TL-S (same engine as the CL-S but auto) has like 220whp (260hp advertised)..my tsx has like 185whp, is lighter and 6 speed..i don't think the tl-s would be too far ahead, but the 6speed in the cl will give it a bit more depending on the driver
