Someone on Edm....com is reporting Acura has posted an official TSB. The guys at my dealer said last week that they were waiting for something to come out and were advising people to wait on trying to fix it because they assumed it would be soon.

We don't have access to the TSBs anymore, do we?

these windshield or dashboard rattles did drive me crazy for 6 month, but all rattles completely disappeared after 6,000 miles by itself, so that since August my TSX is a completely rattles free and I hope it will keep this way.
It is 28 degrees and so far no rattles at all.
In the summer time as soon as temperature raised over 75 degrees, all rattles disappeared, and then always were back at night, I would suspect that some glue just took to long to dry.

-Noise on my car seems to happens when temp is between 40-55 degrees and dry. Over 55, no noise, under 40 degrees, no noise. Probably has to deal with the contracting of the plastic Getting my parts replaced Tuesday.

So my car was dropped off last Tuesday and it it still at the dealer. The dealer just told me that the glue needs to sit for 48 hours, so my car is hostage until Monday. I have the loaner TSX, so I am ok. This is the first offical fix that my dealer is doing.

Wow, dropped off Tuesday and they want it to sit until Monday. When I had mine windshield and clips replaced, they just wanted it to sit in their shop overnite in a heated area and was ready for me to pick up the following morning.

Had this done a good month ago and haven't had the noise since!

Im not sure if the dealers are on the same page of what the fix is. But that's awesome that yours is fixed.

Well, 45 degrees, dry and quiet so far

I was concentrating on the noise so much that I drive half way home in the dark without turning on my headlights. Some guy behind me almost rear-ended me. I was about to yell at him until I realized my lights were off. Then I said, nice reflexes dude

My dealer said that there is a Service Bulletin. They kept the car for four days and based on the list of parts on the work order it appears they have redone the driver side outside windshield molding. The noises seems to have gone for now - it is has been unseasonably warm past few days - whther it is real fix will know perhaps starting this weekend whe it is supposed to get real cold. The car seems to be also have less wind noise now. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I finally brought my 2004 TSX in for the Windshield noise problem about 2 weeks ago. I had all the classic symptoms since the weather turned cold in mid October. I asked the dealer if they were aware of the problem and they said they weren't so I gave them a link to this thread and brought a printout with me when I dropped off the car.

When I picked up the car they said they had pushed down real hard on the cowl and A pillar moldings (as a few people have recommended in this thread) and heard some things snap into place. I guess they're stronger than me (or less afraid to break something) because I had tried that myself and it didn't help.

The dealer said that if the noise came back I should bring it in again and they would look into replacing the clips, windshied, etc. It's been 2 weeks with plenty of cold, dry weather and the noise has not come back, so it looks like I'm cured.

Thanks to everyone, especially wsklar , who helped make this possible by contributing to this thread.

Yeah, my 05 has this too, are they squeezing it at the bottom of the A pillar right above the dash?

Boo.. I have this infamous windshield creak on my 05 TSX. It started about two weeks ago and it has been relentless. =(

I am going to take my car in this friday to be checked out. My car is filled with rattles now. I also have the steering wheel buzzing/rattling and I randomly hear this loud tapping / vibration sound when idling in drive. If I shift to drive or accelerate, it goes away. My headunit also creaks from time to time. =(

The dealer should take care of it. Good luck.

Can anybody explain what or where the A Pillar is? I have a rattle sound coming from the driver side, not passenger like most people here have posted. To my ears, it sounds like it's right in the corner where the dash and door meet, adjacent to the side view mirror and near the air condition vent. I have to be going over 75mph for it start rattling. It may rattle at around 65, but the wind has to blowing pretty good, which on the Texas Gulf coast is not unusual. As usual, the dealer couldn't replicate the sound, so they did nothing. I'm going to set an appointment just for this rattle, but I'm doing my homework before going in.

The A Pillar is between your front windows and your windshield.

Thanks, I'll try pushing down on it from the driver's side. The sound could be coming from that area, its close enough. And you know accoustics in this car are weird.

Ticking noises

I've been having this problem for a little over two months now. Bought my TSX in late December but the problem never made itself known during the San Francisco rainy season. As soon as we get 2-3 dry days (not often in the Spring) the problem starts. I've had my car to the deal four times:

First for dashboard rattles - turned out to be the glovebox lock clip.

Second for door rattles - mostly on the passenger side. Still not fixed.

Third for a ticking sound coming from the trunk. Turned out to be a flaky spot weld.

Now I'm going back for the front windshield clicks. Mine are coming from both posts and the dash center, plus one I hear occasionally over the front doors. I don't curse Acura for these clicks, they are wierd and only show up in cool, dry weather. They'l get fixed one way or the other.

What I do curse them for are the damned tinny doors. There is no excuse for the door rattles. I has a 86 Toyota Camry I pushed for 218,000 miles and the doors were quieter.

But I love the way the TSX drives. Driving up the coast highway on Route 1 it is a pleasure - better than a previous BMW 3xx.

BTW, can anyone tell me why they have that "VSA" disable button? Why would I want to disable it? Towing (God forbid) or what? The last technician I talked to at the dealer told me he had no idea why it was there (but at least he told me about all the complaints Acura is getting on rattles and squeaks - moreso from TL owners then TSX owners).

I have this on mine. But, I just had my windshield replaced my Safelite auto glass and then it started creaking. They broke a bunch of clips that hold on the molding. I complained and they are going to replace the clips and the molding. Hopefully this will fix it. I have a 2006.
