Wind Noise after Tinting Windows

I finally got around to getting my windows tinted last week, and now I have a noticeable wind noise when I drive above 60 mph. I called the tint shop, and was told that there was nothing they did that would cause the wind noise. I know the noise was not there before, so it has to be due to something that was done while tinting the car. From experimenting in my wife’s Accord, I can get a similar wind noise if I open the window very slightly. As such, I suspect my window is not completely closing for some reason.

Does anybody know what in the tinting process would cause such a problem, and what I need to ask the tint shop to do to fix it?

Ummm Acura doesn't put felt on the inside bottom rubber weather strip so the tint shops put that in....but I don't think that'd cause the wind noise. They may have just pushed the squeegee to high up at some point without opening the window a bit and messed up some of the stripping. I'd imagine when you can roll the windows down you'll notice it and should be able to fix it with like a thin plastic puddy knife.

lemme know if you find a way to reduce the wind noise. I have tints too but I don't remember if my car was quieter before I got them. I do have noticeable wind noise above 60mph.

I had this same problem. Take a good look at the area where the window and the inner door trim meet. Do you have the rubber strip in place? The place I went for the tint removed it, and didn't tell me about it. I was going crazy because of the wind noise, and drove to a dealership to compare my car to a stock one, and confirmed my suspicion. I went back to the tint shop, and they said they removed it because of the design, scratching of the tint would occur. I told them I would take my chances and had them re-install the rubber stripping. Sure enough, I do have some scratch marks in my tint, but the wind noise is gone. Hope this helps.
