Angry What is the deal with the rotors ? ? ?

I had a 03 TL-S and had problems at 10k 20k well every 10k had vibrations under highway speeds, my brother had a TSX now I am driving it and had problems too, first time at 8k. In the family we had a 88 Honda Civic HB, 91 Honda Civic, 90, 93, 95 and 97 Accord and never had problems with the rotors until high miles. I know the TL-S is made here in the U. S. and the TSX is made in Japan but I guess it uses the same type/brand of rotor ? Brake pads I understand they can go after 20k but vibrations before 10k ? And every 10k ? My dad has a 2000 Dodge Caravan for his business and he puts weight in it couple of times a week and first time he machined the rotors was at 50k. Going back to the TSX the other day I was on the highway had to brake from 70 mph and the whole fornt end shaked big time. Sorry for the long post.

For around $200 can I get power slot rotors an hawk ceramic pads ?
Thanks.

It's going to be more than $200 if you want them for the front and back. Try tirerack.com for prices. I swapped my OEMs out at 28k for power slot rotors and hawk ceramics front and back, and I'm now at 40k with no problems.

There are a lot of threads on this. You really only need new pads, and to resurface the OEM rotors. That solved all my problems.

Resurfaced the OEM rotors twice already. I just want to change the front ones, rear ones doesn't make the vibration/shimmy.

Search is your friend.

And for about the millionth time, the problem is not the fucking rotors. It's the shitty brake pads. Swap those for a good set of aftermarket ones and you'll be set.
