Weird jerking b/t 1500 & 2000 RPM
Not able to find an exact match for my situation while searching the forum.
I have noticed when driving through school zones that I have some slight jerking and shuddering in acceleration between 1500 and 2000 RPM. It is not necessarily in the same gear or shifting from the same gear just always in that RPM range. It does seem like it is trying to shift gears. Almost like the car is not comfortable in that gear in that RPM range for an extended period of time. I have only noticed this at low speeds (< 30 mph). It has been going on for quite a while I just haven't done much about it (boo me!). The transmission fluid was changed at 60K and I am currently at 106K.

I have gotten some slight jerking when maintaining an idle drive... so I have it say in 2nd gear at idle and I'm rotating on and off the accelerator with very slight pressure. This is the transition between the idle control and acceleration. Not sure if that is what you are describing though.
BTW, I was in your neck of the woods this weekend. Had an awesome time outside of Gatlinburg.

I think what you're describing is what moda_way alluded to, the spotty DBW throttle control when transitioning from idle to acceleration. I think they need a secondary, very small butterfly for controlling the throttle in this range as the servo controlled throttle plate doesn't seem to have much accuracy in the very low opening range. It's like it's unable to open the plate just a little bit and instead it jumps from open just a crack to maintain idle to a substantially larger opening upon receiving any right foot input at all.
It kind of annoys me (it's much more pronounced in the 6mt) but it's something I can live with. If I'm in the mood I can eliminate the effect with clutch feathering. Most the time I too lazy.

Thanks for the responses. By the way you both described it, this sounds like what I am experiencing. I too have been tapping the excelerator to assist with this. Glad to know it most likely is not a serious problem.
