Weird intermittent problem: I know I need to get it checked :)
So here's a strange problem I've had pop up once every other month or so on my 06' AT. Randomly (it seems to happen more often when my car is sitting (engine off) in the sun for awhile) I'll turn on my engine and all the warning lights will pop up and stay lit as if there's some serious engine problems in my car. That is, my MID will say "check ABS, check VSA, check Engine" Check Brakes etc." but the car will drive fine. If I turn the car off and remove the key then restart the vehicle, the lights don't reappear and the problem doesn't surface again for another month or so. It seems to happen pretty randomly. It did happen once while I was driving the vehicle. All the warning lights appear on the MID/dash and stay on until I turn off the engine and remove the key. They don't come back after restarting the engine. Then the issue happens again maybe a month or two later. Does this sound like a loose electrical connection? A sensor that's slowly going, or something else? I'm under CPO warranty, so of course I'm going to go to the dealership. They likely won't find anything considering this is a random problem that doesn't seem to have any reproducibility. But in the mean time, anyone run into this or care to speculate? I'm a glutton for punishment...
BTW..I'm not talking about the normal flashing of the emergency system lights when you first turn on the car. Those are supposed to show up then clear in a second or two. I'm talking about all these lights appearing and all the warnings for malfunctions appearing on the MID all at once and staying there.
