Warped Rotors at 28k Miles
Have on 04 with 28k miles... is it too late to hassle the dealership about what I assume are warped rotors? I know a lot of the 04s were having problems, but I'm assuming they'll push back because of the mileage.

It depends from dealer to dealer what they're willing to do with them. Most likely they'll cut them, but probably charge you for it. The OEMs suck anyway, I'd go aftermarket. That's what I did. There are plenty of threads on this, try a search for more info.

The dealer that I bought my TSX from resurfaced the front rotors under warranty when the car had 12,000 miles. The vibration returned at 26,000 miles, and another dealer, who I was taking the car to for service at the time, replaced both front rotors and brake pads under warranty. I now have 63,000 miles on the car, with no new vibration problems.

My 2004 had the dealer resurface rotors at 20K (warranty). They got so bad at 45K that dealer replaced rotors and replaced front pads for free citing a problem/recall with the composite of the factory pads related to heat. At 65K need resurfacing again with a charge of $200.00. So much for the "new and improved" pads. Has anyone else heard about this pad composite problem? Should I really be paying for another resurface?

I took mine in this morning for this very problem. I have an '06 with 21K miles. They said they were warped and resurfaced them under warranty. They also added that they only did it under warranty because the car is just a year old and under 25K miles. I'm not sure what the 25K mile mark insinuated. This was at Harper Acura in Knoxville, TN. One of the best dealerships around that I've dealt with except they washed my car when I told them not to 4 times! Oh well, what can you do, right?

The stuffs they sell are really cheap. I was going to turn my rotors. They told me they charged $10 for each one. And then they told me a new one they sold was $15 bucks. I put the new one on and didn't feel any different.
