Vtec Solenoid

So i have a 2006 acura tsx with 183000 miles and something would leak on my belt and it would get all the components and even caused my alternator and ac compressor to go. So i replaced everything, tensioner pulley, alternator with a high output alternator because i have 4 subs, new ac compressor, crankshaft pulley, then i looked up common oil leaks from my car and it said he crankshaft position sensor and vtec solenoid on the back of the engine and some other spots, so i took the crankshaft position sensor off and cleaned it, and when i looked at my vtec solenoid also called variable timing solenoid i realized their was oil leaking so i changed it and i bought a new one, i did my oil change and even replaced my oil bolt cause oil was leaking from their too, then when i went to go start it up everything ran fine. I went to go take it down the street, it hit vtec a couple times but now it’s not letting me go past 5500 rpms, sometimes i get lucky and i start it up and it will let me go past but 85% of the time it won’t. i also have to mention that i have a check emissions light on and check vsa, those are because of my O2 sensors though. My main question is why can’t i go past 5500 rpm?.

maybe go back to the other vtec solenoid. All you needed to do was change a $1.50 gasket.

bummer. Most of the leaking I had came from the power steering pump. I had to replace some hoses and that was it, but yea I went through a serpentine belt or two..

Do you have a bluetooth OBDII reader at all? I have an O2 sensor code thrown, but have no running problems with it. I've got about 187K currently. Don't run anything but premium. If it's not running sluggish the coils are probably ok. Spark plugs might not be a bad investment if you haven't changed them recently. I know my top side of the engine is a bit noisy until it warms up idles down. Acura recommends a "valve adjustment" on the top end, but just sounds like an easy way for them to make money.. I also just changed my tension pully. See if that is where the noise is coming from.

i changed my tension pulley also but my spark plugs haven’t been changed in a while but i don’t know how that could make the clicking noise.
