The one lady at Gatorland (Cheryl, I think) is great. She is really nice & seemed to know what she's talking about. All of the guys I've dealt with there have led me to never come back.

I had three different ppl there tell me my brakes were fine. One stated there was 50% pad left and the technician couldn't reproduce the noise. I was able to reproduce the noise in the parking lot. Turns out is was the wear indicator and the rear pads were finished. I replaced and upgraded the pads and rotors myself for less than a pad replacement there. /digression

You should be fine for a grill replacement under warranty if the car wasn't hit.

I'd be surprised if they cover that -- its most likely caused by rocks/sand hitting it while driving. Just like stone chips in the hood/bumper/windshield, it's likely not covered.

unless you have a horseshoe you know where...

But either way, good luck!

^^ agree

The question is whether they consider this a warranty issue or not. If they do then there is no way they should be voiding the warranty on the grille due to your aftermarket intake.

Well, they may consider it an issue as the normal installation instructions for a CAI, require you to take off the front bumper, which the grille is attached. If that is the case, then just say you went through the wheel well.

yeah well i just got back and she said it was the ugliest grill ever. she filled out the warranty form and is shipping it over night tomorrow, so i'm excited that i didn't get screwed like my friend who bought his car at RICK CASE acura. he installed a system in his car and something happend with the engine and the people at rick case said that they couldn't cover his car because of his system, some crap like that, but i'm definitely happy about gatorland.

Your friend's case may be different. It depends on whether the "system" your friend installed had a direct correlation with what happened with the engine.

Example: If you replaced the header and later on you got a CEL for a bad 02 sensor then replacing the 02 sensor would most likely not be covered by the warranty because you have to take out the 02 sensor and reinstall it in the new header. Acura could, rightly, claim that the sensor was damaged during the changeout.

They can't void your warranty over intake and exhaust. It's actually illegal to do so.
