Unable to pair bluetooth phones

I did a search, and couldn't find a good answer to this question.

I have two bluetooth phones, a Motorola RAZR and V551. Both of them have been used with headsets and linked to computers in the past, so I'm quite sure their bluetooth functionality is ok.

However, I cannot for the life of me get either paired to my new 06 TSX. I've followed the instructions exactly, and nothing happens when I get to the part where it searches for phones. I have enabled discovery mode on the phones, and waited like 5-10 minutes, but nothing happens. Is there some other setting I must enable on the phone? Is it possible the bluetooth function in the car is broken?

you need to get your phone to search for the car, not the car to search for the phone...

the moto's will work with your car, so you just need to do the procedure properly... once you put the 4 number code into the HFL, then go to your phone and search for bluetooth devices... then it asks you for the code and you punch that into your phone and you're good to go...

Thanks, I actually just figured this out on my own. The HFL guide is a little misleading, because it says to put the phone into "discoverable" mode. You do indeed need to make the phone search for a headset, and then it works great!
