Ticking/Skweeking noise from front right wheel

I just got my TSX back from being in the body shop for a month after an accident. I put new tires on it (Bridgestone Turanza LS-V) and I love them. While it was at the body shop, they took the car to the dealership and had a 4 wheel alignment done on my tires for me.

The car drives flawlessly but I hear a very minor sound out of the front right wheel that sounds like a ticking/skweeking noise when going foward. It is more pronounced when decelerating. A friend of mine suggested a loose bearing. Any thoughts before I call the dealership??

sounds like a bearing issue, what was it in the shop for?

It could also be a nail stuck in the tire.

I hit a guardrail but on the opposite side of where the noise is emminating from. That's why it was in the shop.

Tonight I was driving it around and was pushing it a bit. When I braked hard, the noise started and continued until I drove it home. However, if I don't brake hard, the noise can't be heard. Could it be the brakes??

And I doubt its a nail in the tire, the tires are brand new

EDIT : Also, if it is a bearing issue, is it okay to be driving it around? I called the Acura dealership and they can't take it until next Tuesday.

Alright so the car went to the dealership today... it's the brakes. The guy told me that the brakes are so totally distorted that he doesn't even suggest driving it off the lot.

When I asked how much the dealership wanted for a total brake job, including the front and rear, he said $675 plus tax which comes to a grand total of about $710. What do you fella's suggest?

what part of the brakes? if its just pads, that's a rip, and if its the pads and rotors, its still a rip. hawk hps pads are $90-$100 and blembo blank front rotors can be had for a decent price. the installation is pretty easy for both. if you can change your oil, you can change pads and rotors.

sounds like someone's getting ripped...

i wouldn't bother going OEM with that quote, and 3rd party - it'll be much better materials too.

I would never pay that much for OEM brakes. I once asked my Acura service advisor what to do if my brakes warp (already had them turned twice already) after warranty and he said it would only cost about $80~100 to get them turned.
