There's a dead bug in my third brake light

So how do I get him out of there? Not to mention I have no idea how he got in there in the first place

Lol, I have a bee in mine. Like you, I have no clue how it got in there, but I'll bet he wishes he hadn't. My idea is just to wait till he gets real crispy, and then blow him apart with canned air. Dont know if it will work though.

You can remove the third brake light housing by first twist and remove the bulb socket from the trunk. Then push the housing toward the rear window from inside the car to release the hooks. Then lift the housing up to remove.

It's amazing how the lil bugger got there. Reminds me of the time when I found a praying mantis in my trunk even though I hadn't opened the trunk since the night before.

have you done that before? Does it leave 2 big holes? I wanted to get rid of mine since I have the spoiler and its useless now. The dealer said it's a lot of work cuz they gotta take out the back seat and crap...i said whatever!

They get in. I have moths crawling in through the A/C intake and somehow managing to get into the cabin eventhough my A/C is always left on recirculate.

IMO the easiest way is to just get ahold of a mid pressure air hose and blow the little bastard out

Lol this happened on my TL. I noticed a dead moth there about 3 weeks ago and when I took it to Acura to get service I mentioned it to them and they got it out for me free of charge.

I know when I travel with my windows down, bugs and debris can fly in and get stuck on the back part of my rear window and 3rd light. I've used double stick tape and a thin long toothpick to get the buggers out. If that doesn't work, then I take out the light...as mentioned above.
