Lol, I have a bee in mine. Like you, I have no clue how it got in there, but I'll bet he wishes he hadn't. My idea is just to wait till he gets real crispy, and then blow him apart with canned air. Dont know if it will work though.

You can remove the third brake light housing by first twist and remove the bulb socket from the trunk. Then push the housing toward the rear window from inside the car to release the hooks. Then lift the housing up to remove.

Lol this happened on my TL. I noticed a dead moth there about 3 weeks ago and when I took it to Acura to get service I mentioned it to them and they got it out for me free of charge.

I know when I travel with my windows down, bugs and debris can fly in and get stuck on the back part of my rear window and 3rd light. I've used double stick tape and a thin long toothpick to get the buggers out. If that doesn't work, then I take out the light...as mentioned above.

3rd light replacement.
I came on here looking on how to removing the third light housing as mine was melted for some reason. and low and behold i found out how. thanks to the guy had a bug in his.
