Suspension Fixed!!!
Suspension Fixed!!!
some of you might have seen my previous post about the shock and suspension making noise and bouncing more. I didnt realize it was bouncing more until after the fact that they fixed it.
The broken strut was leaking fluid..and prior to fixing it. i measured from flat garage ground up to the fender . the broken side was 27 inches from ground to fender. the good side (right side) was 27 1/4 inches. i was like DANG.
after fixing it, i went to same spot. and measured it. now both side are all 27 1/4 inches high now..never know it would make such difference. and now driving exhibit less bouncing and no noise at all! happy again

Do you think mine is broken?Oh wait a minute, that's the Tein coilovers

Glad to hear your car is fixed!
I had my car in for an oil change yesterday and noticed my calipers were chipping(paint coming off) so I took the tires off cleaned the calipers and repainted them....The point of this is I also noticed both of my front struts were leaking, called the dealership and made appointment for them to look at it on tuesday. I suggest others keep there eye on this, my car only has 16k miles on it and while driven "hard" at times, its not beat or over loaded.
For some reason its comforting to know that others are having a similar problem and the dealership is taking care of it.

it is comforting to know dealer is taknig care of the problem...it is NOT comforting to know this problem has been discovered several times on the forum hm... extended warranty comes to mind?
You shouldn't have any issue with warranty at 16K, or even 46k for that matter, unless there was obvious sign of damage to the rim/tire.
However, this is one of those instances where if you had installed aftermarket springs, Acura COULD deny your warranty claim. Depends a lot on your relationship with the dealer.

I agree it is alarming that the problem is occuring, however, it seems pretty isolated. Knock on wood but I have not had any of the other normal early 04 problems folks were complaining of. Compared so far with my previous VW dealership experiences, Acura is far ahead, but the job is still not complete. I feel more confident based on the one phone call I had with the service guy at Acura then I did with anyone at VW.
I'm dropping it off Monday night, so I will update if anything good or bad happens.
