Steering

Quick question for everybody with a TSX, how good is your steering?

I have noticed a SLIGHT pull to the left, on my 06 TSX. Generally noticed at higher speeds (55-60mph) or above on the highway, if I actually make it so the steering wheel is perfectly straight, the car pulls left, not to hard, but noticably, for instance if I put the wheel perfectly straight, the car would pull to the left lane with 1-2 seconds.

Called the deal, brought it in, they did an alignment, everything was within spec...

Service guy told me it was somewhat normal with lower profile tires, like what come on the TSX, that with slight slants in the road, this will happen, but I pretty much notice it on most highways/roads ect

So esentially, to go straight, the steering wheel is at about 1 o'clock

I owned an 03 RSX Type S before this, and if memory serves, I never notice this

What should I do/try?

Could it be the wheels are not balanced? Is there some procedure/test they can do to straighten the steeringwheel/steering column?

Any help would be greatly appreceiated.

James

if there are no actual driving issues (vibration, etc) and the steering wheel is just off, then you need to tell them to align the steering wheel, not the actual road wheels. basically what happens is the tech will set the steering wheel in a certain position when doing the alignment and if it's off, then it will be off when you're driving.

Thanks for the info so far..

I had the alignment done about 2 weeks ago, and the problem still persists... so you think the tech had the steering wheel off center when he did the alignment?

Newplay1, can you recomend a good RSB for the TSX, thanks!

Wow, I was just about to post this same question......

So I had my Tein SSs + Ingalls RCK installed this past Saturday. Since then, I've put on about 350 miles (full tank of gas). Then, about 3 hours ago, I had an alignment done. I watched the tech do the alignment and according to the comp, he put everything back into spec.

I was running -.90/-.15 degree toe and -1.9/-1.7 negative camber on my LR/RR before. Now, it's -.08/-.08 and -1.0/-1.0 respectively.

Everything looked good to me, so I drove off. However, I immediately noticed that the car was pulling to the right. There is no vibration, the car feels fine, it just pulls to the right and I have to keep the wheel at about 11-12:30 to drive straight.

Do you guys think I screwed up my tires by running too long with negative toe and without an alignment (~5 days), or did the tech just screw up somehow?
