So at 147,000 miles I have this annoying problem where my car will shut off at a stoplight since the voltage hits below 9 volts. the car will fail to run and like stall.

Its an automatic, so i'm not sure why i get this stall like movement.

Normally before the transmission replacement at 120,000 miles i never had this problem.

I replaced the battery earlier this year, not sure what are signs of an alternatory problem. My mechanic says the car is charging the battery properly, not sure if it is something else in the pulley systems, since I am using UR pulleys so there is some underdrive issue. I never had these problems prior.

I'm also starting to think its the starter, since I've been having problems starting the car some days, where the car is cranking like a few times then clicks like there is no power.

Any one have any suggestions what to look into?

Sounds like a drain or charging system issue. I doubt its the stater. Do
have an upgraded stereo or anything besides the pulleys?

 

Nope just a bunch of performance mods, i'm tryng to see where else to dig in.
