Hi guys, i have this problem before. The squirrels ate a big chunk out of a 03 toyota corrola hood insulator. Few days ago i saw a bunch of nuts on my engine block of a 05 TSX auto. I thought it is kind of funny how it were nuts instead of leaves got blown or suck in side the hood. So i clean it...and today i saw a bunch of paw marks of small animal like squirrels on top of my engine block... is there ways to get rid of them vermints? I dont want them to bite into any electrical wires or any thing... or should i spray under the hood with pepper spray? Any suggestion would help...

Ive had this happen to me before....mice chewed my spark plug wires and went after the insulation. Try putting a few moth balls under the hood tucked into a few places.

Don't use rat poison. If another animal... say a dog, eats that dead squirrel, it will be killed too.

Guns... shoot the furry bastards before they get near your car.

 

use rat poison or boric acid & ammonia and just sweep the dead squirrels up.

 

im a member of the ASPCA, and if you do one of the listed above to endanger the squirrles lives i will put u in the pattywagon

 

 

If you use a .12, make sure the TSX isn't anywhere close.

 

Maybe you can try some kind of animal urine. Seriously. I know people use it to keep critters out of gardens, trash etc. Put it around your driveway where you park the car.

I tried sprayed on with the window cleaner stuff on the engine block, this stuff got amonia in it...hopefully they think i marked my teritory and leave it alone...

 

Just "Man up" and mark your territory the old fashioned way.. Unless you don't think you can scare off a couple of squirrels.

Squirrels can be a total f+++in bitch. Had them climbing up my down spouts, chewing through the wire mesh @ the attic fan and running @ in my attic. During same period they chewed a big chunk out of the house's vinyl siding and into the corner wood beam. They are vicious and tenacious. Nothing but rats with a little fur and tail. Go online and look for solutions and you will discover the universal frustration. Few if any answers. Once they hone in on an area you are in for a long ordeal.
