speaker problems?

hey i have a '06 tsx and when i have a song, with a lot of bass, being played at about 35 and i turn the bass to about 0 or +1 i get a popping sound from the speakers, like they are maxed out? Is this normal. again it doesnt happen all the time only with songs that have big bass.

35 is pretty loud. When I'm into my music I turn it up to 20...maybe 25 at the most.

I'm willing to bet that what you are hearing is the inability for the subs to produce bass at that volume.

My 05' with roughly 64k started making the same 'poping' sound, I figured they were blown, and replaced the rear 6x9's.

I'm with thunder... 35 is plenty loud. Usually 25 is the most I'll crank it up and that's for signals that are soft to begin with. Either look into a dedicated woofer or upgrade the 6x9s if you need more bass.

35 would make my ears bleed. I can't tell you what's happening because I've never played mine that loud. I guess you can take it in, if its a failed speaker it sould be covered under warranty.

BTW, I'm going to lock this thread. We have a Audio & Video forum for questions like this. Feel free to repost it there. link--> Audio & Video Forum
