Passenger door power lock not operating

Of course my car is now out of warranty and numerous problems have occurred. CD player died, rattles appearing in the dash and rear deck, squeeky door hinges and now, the power door lock won't work on the front passager door!

Acura of Hamilton fixed CD player and rattles as a good will jesture. They are awesome. Stay away from Acura on Brant, they are DICKS!

Any idea how to repair the door lock. Pics would be great.

Thanks.

I'm guessing it's probably a broken hinge. I just fixed my cousins 99 civic and he had powe locks. All it was was a broken plastic hinge. We could not buy the part by itself and had to replace the whole door handle but only cost him $60. If your not trying to spend any money, I suggest alotting a whole day by opening your door assembly and figuring it out. worse comes to worse bring it to a shop opened up and have them try to figure it out for you. (They should'nt charge you too much because you already did the labor for opening it)

Negative. This is a frequently occurring problem with all years of the TSX and several other Honda models. It's the door lock actuator. The part is about $50 IIRC and is pretty easy to replace if you're moderately inclined in the mechanical direction. There are numerous write ups complete with pictures if you search.

It's the door lock actuator. I've already had 2 go out.

My passenger door lock just quit working this week. I ordered a new actuator from Acuraoemparts.com for $27.00 including shipping.

ugh...my front passenger door lock also went dead this morning. I can see it twitching when I hit the remote, but it doesn't pop open.

it's funny how the door locks are going dead across the country at nearly the same time. may be the same batch of faulty actuators?

Yeah, it seems like a lot of use are all having this problem. I've already had two go out and I've replaced a couple for other members on the board. Hopefully you're still under warranty. If not, let me know if you need someone to install a new actuator, the dealer charges $250+ for labor on this install
