Slack in Throttle Cable?

So I've had a reoccuring problem with the p2138 and p2122 CELs. I've replaced the APP sensor and TPS. Neither helped.

My progress can be found here: https://acurazine.com/forums/1g-tsx-problems-fixes-128/success-app-sensor-replacement-cured-p2138-non-smooth-accelerator-response-819824/

(i'm not the OP of that thread)

So i inspected the throttle cable today and it looks like it has some play. I uploaded it to youtube. anyone wanna tell me if this is normal?

because our car has a dbw(drive by wire) the computer controls all input when you push the gas so there will be some lag since the caars not on and the computer isnt doing it.correct me if im wrong. i havent looked at our pedals in a while but i dont think there is a physcial cable attatched to the pedal if so then that would explain the "slack since no one is pushing the gas to grab that "slack". all in all its normal unless you notice your performance is slow. our cars do have a lag betwen throttle input and going since its dbw.

our pedals attached to the throttle cable, leads to the Acceleration Pedal Position (APP) Sensor. Which in turn tells the throttle body how far to open and such.

Related question: Is there a way to smooth this out? From a stop the car has a very on/off feeling.
