Question Side Sill Trim Gash Problem

My brand new TSX got a damn gash on the Side Sill Trim (SST), and that shhh is annoying me.

Q: When you install the OEM body kit, is the SST removed for good, or is the side skirt clipped over the SST? I'm thinking of speeding up my plans for the body kit, hollah yo'!

The side sill is completely removed for the OEM side skirts.

I just got my OEM kit installed and I left my side sills with the dealer. I would have gladly shipped them to you if this had happened before hand. If you have PWP of course!

Contact your dealer and have him contact youif someone with SST has a kit installed - may be able to get a replacement sill for free.

Did you just use "dealer" and "free" in the same sentence? I don't think that will happen anytime soon.

I don't know. When they stole me "A" off the trunk the dealer gave me 4 new ones. They were the left over from people putting on the gold emblems.

You must have a different breed of dealers down there.

I broke a couple B clips and went to pick up some at the dealer. They wanted $4 a piece. Go to another dealer and a bag of 10 was $2.

Thanks everybody for the input. I will look into some of the suggestions, of course I am not expecting my dealer to come through for me. Interestingly, I work for a prominent young CA legislator who has a "pioneering" bill addressing consumer rights in new/used car sales...the new car dealers in CA aren't very happy about it. It will make waves when it reaches the floor this yr. Be on the lookout CA peeps.
