Should I buy a TSX?
I have a '99 Accord EXV6 coupe i've had for 13 years since new with 109K miles. It's been in the shop once for an alternator in 2002 and this year for a timing belt replacement, period. It has gone UP in value the last few years! So I've been thinking about a later yrs TSX (06-08 maybe). My Accord has been super reliable. After reading a few 'horror' stories about crazy symptoms and cracked dashes on both TL & TSX, I'm a little hesitant and think maybe stick with a newer Accord. What say ye TSX owners?
Just bought my first Acura 2006 TSX with Nav. plus came with transferable extended warranty from private owner this summer had 39K miles on it for $15,500 and I love it getting about 25 - 26 mpg city driving. I wish I could afford the newer style TSX maybe in a couple of years.
if its a manual then YES!! idk how the newer 4 cyl tsx's compare to mine but i test drove an automatic with paddle shift and it was HORRIBLE. i could not wait to get back to my 04 lol. also test drove an 06 MT and it definitely felt and sound nicer than mine. only reason i didnt get it was because the previous owner did not take ANY sort of care of that car :/
EDIT: also my car is at 123,xxx and i am not experiencing any cracked dash syndrome :P i am however having a huge amount of difficulty shifting into 2nd at vtec... idk if thats a common or im just lucky lol

Not sure why you're asking if you should by a TSX in the TSX section. We're obviously going to tell you yes. I personally love my TSX but I'd jump the gun for a TL if I had the chance. Love the V6 over a 4 banger. Just my opinion.

I used to have a 1998 Honda accord, same generation as your own car. I currently have a 2005 TSX, and everyone says my car looks brand new till this day. I'm at 86K and only had to change my battery and brakes. You will not have to change the timing belt on the TSX, since they use chains. Cabin is very quiet, 6 speed MT is super smooth.
If you have a V6 now I wouldn't recommend getting first gen tsx's the I4 doesnt compare especially since you have a V6 in a coupe so you have significant power.
I would definitely test drive the newer second gen tsx's that have the V6s in them and also test drive an 08 or earlier version tsx that has the I4 engine in it. Big difference.
Just being honest and telling you what I think. Not talking down on the tsx, I personally own a 08 tsx. Just trying to help you make an informed decision.
