Service?
Service?
So at 7800 miles, my Service light came on, and it was at 10% Oil Life.
I've had no free time to go and take it into service, so I put it off for 400 miles, and its at 8200 miles. I've called and made an appointment for Monday, but now it says "Service Due Now" on the display and reads 5% Service Oil Life. I'm not pushing my luck about anything am I?

And there is a little hidden credit card slot under the steering wheel. If you swipe your credit card there, the display will automatically reset itself. Make sure you don't have anything blocking the little antenna next to the left hand side mirror.
here you go

I don't think there will be any problem.
One of my friends leased a Nissan for 2 years. He didn't change squash. No oil changed no nothing for 2 years. The Nissan had no problem at all.
I'm at 4850 miles and my oil life went to 5% earlier today with about 4838 miles on the odo & now i have the "service due now" message. I've scheduled to get her in for the A1 service on Monday. You're fine, but just to be safe get the service done ASAP.

With so many posts in under a year, I would have thought that you already knew the answer...so what happened the last time you had to do an oil change?
There shouldn't be any trouble. The computer is careful and will want you to come in sooner than you really should come in. That way, you can't blame Acura on having an "unreliable" car.
We didn't change the oil in one of our accords for at least a year. Whenever someone would complain about the maintainance light, I'd just reset it...and I think I did it like 3 times before I got around to it (so that's at least 9000 miles). It was a commuter car that went about 44 miles a day. As of right now, it is running superbly.

dong sang, you are worrying too much. Your car isn't going to break down so...plus, I stil havent taken mine for service. Its just tire rotation, oil change, break check up, and etc. Its just waste of money..

You realize it just needs an oil change, right? "A1" is oil change, "B1" is replace filters and oil change. Its highly complex algorithm just alternates them

If you don't feel like doing it yourself, just take it to jiffy lube for half price, and don't give the dealer a chance to screw something up with your car. Not to mention take 20 minutes instead of 3 hours.

I'm not worried, it's not like I'm lazy and that I won't do them myself, but when the dealer gave me free oil changes for life, I don't think I'd spend the time to do it myself.
