I noticed that sometimes while just moving say through a parking lot where your not pressing on the gas or brake but just going between 5-10mph it seems the car feels rough. Anyone else with an 5at ever feel this? The tach seems to move from like 700-1000 a little jumpy too.

I wonder if its just the way our throttle system is. I know people who experienced a rough jerk when shifting from 1-2 gear.

 

Does it normally happen when you've just started the car? If so, maybe it's the ABS initializing itself.

 

It's all of that power and torque that you're feeling. The TSX engine is a beast.

 

i get that too..only in very slow speeds...I doubt it's the ABS stuff.....

 

does it feel as if its comming from a higher gear into 1st? Ive had this issue with a couple automatics, one being a honda prelude. while slowing down to a stop sign, i dont come to a complete stop and as i press the gas (usually harder then normal) the car jerks really hard. I find it happens in the tsx also, but i changed my driving habits. Now i just rest my foot on the gas to allow it to shift into first on its own with minimal power running thru the transmission.

 

I get it as well on my 6MT. I experienced this on my VW GTi 16v as well and it was the idle control valve bouncing back and forth as the computer tried to keep up with the idle and my small input on the throttle.
