Rotor rust

Bah I took my car to the dealership to have them look at a shaking problem when the car is idle and they took the easy route and resurfaced my rotos for whatever reason! Well that didn't fix the problem and I don't have time to bring the car to them again this month. Yesterday it rained and all my rotos became rusty! I guess the anti-rust coating came off when they did the resurfacing. Is there a way to remove and prevent rust on the inner surface near the hub where the pads dont make contact?

My car is shiny blue, a-spec, with 18 inch wheels and looks bling bling but my damn rotos are freakin orange! wtf!

The rotors are cast iron. Any amount of moisture resting on the surface will result in rust. It's inevitable. And there is no way to prevent the rust unless you switch to a rotor that isn't cast iron.

Oh, and if the car is shaking at idle, why did they resurface the rotor?? That doesn't make sense...

It didn't rust like this before, I think it had black coating on it. Damn dealership is so stupid, I think I'll have to be more specific next time. It's a pulsing shake when the car comes to a stop and goes away if you shift to neutral. I read that others had this problem also and all of them have AT but nobody has figured out what is causing it yet.

The surface rust is completely normal. It's removed the first time you hit the brakes, only t reappear when you let the car sit. I think you're going to find the vibration you're talking about is normal, too. I think manual tranny owners don't feel it because you generally have the car in neutral when at a stop.

On a wet day you can almost stand there and watch your rotors rust. There's nothing unusual about it, as CG pointed out. Iron + water = rust

But he said that the rotors are rusting towards the inside of the rotor near the hub where there PREVIOUSLY was a black coating there. When they machined the rotor, they removed that coat. According to him...
