help!

So i went to install my neuspeed front strut bar today.

First off, it was very difficult to get it over the bolts, but i managed.

However, i had this problem, the corners of the factory strut bar prevented the inner most bolt from the neuspeed bar to connect to the factory tower. To trouble shoot this i filed the neuspeed in the certain spots so it had clearenced.

I went and tightened 3/4 bolts, but the 4th bolt, it wont tighten, the ratchet dosent have enough room to torque the bolts at all. Im not sure why, everything is a direct fit...it just wont screw on.

1st question, is it bad that i only have 3/4 bolts on

2nd question, i havent torqued those 3 to 33lbs b/c i was unsure , should i? is it bad if i dont?

i called neuspeed, and they said i shoudlent have it like that.

Would it be bad if i just removed the bolts, and left the bar on? Its really a pain removing the bar, and i want to get it installed at a shop.

i would suggest loosening the bolts and tigtening them in an x pattern and slowly doing them a little bit at a time. the fit is very tight, and torqueing one side down completely can make the other side be too tight to bolt down

I c xizor, to be safe i just removed the bar , ill take it to a shop.

Do the stock bolts that are suppose to hold the bar need to be torqued when back on the car stock-mode?

well those bolts hold your shocks/springs to the car, so its a good idea. there are 5 bolts to hold it though, and the torque is pretty light. can't remember the amounts off the top of my head tho

well i know the 2 that have nothing to do with the front sturt bar need to be torqued to 17lbs, which they are.

The other ones are hand tightened very tight, itll be fine till tomororow when i go to the shop.

Took it to my shop. Took alot of elbow grease and a rubber mallet to gain clearence for the problem screw to tighten. It wasent aligned properly, almost as if my actual bar was a bit short, but by tighetening the problem bolt first everything fell into place.

car seems a bit tighter when changing lanes, but thats so far the only difference i can tell, or maybe its just my imigination.
