Removing HID bulb (tricky screw)

Anyone have any tricks to get the screw that holds the bulb in the headlight off? It's in a trick place where it can strip easily if not done properly.

1) Why even have a screw?
2) Why the hell do they use screws when screws strip?
3) Some genius at the factory torqued the screw to 9,000 PSI.

Let me guess, I'm going to have to remove the whole headlight hosing?

It's a tamper-proof Torx T20 screw. You either need the appropriate bit to get the full required torque on it, or, use an appropriately-sized flat screwdriver and wedge it in between two opposing "fins" of that screw. If it's seized, use a small amount of penetrating oil and let that sit for a bit first. But, be sure to clean it all up later and not get ANY oil on the new bulb - it will create a hotspot on the bulb and it'll likely die out (explode) early.

Wait, why do you want to remove the screw though? Is there some reason behind this or are you just trying to replace the bulb? If you're doing some sorta mod to it then understandable.

Just to be safe for others out there though, there is no screw to remove to replace the bulb, just the thing that holds it in you have to push out towards the front of the car, lift and remove. The screw that does look like it's holding it in doesn't need to come off, just remove that little hook dealy by the above mentioned method.
