remove '06 grille

Hey guys

I am replacing my damaged grille with another oem '06 grille, but I dont know how to do it. I checked the FAQ section - and all I saw was mugen and Euro-R tips. So, any advice?

Thanks

you'll remove the grill the same way you would for the mugen and euro-r. Only difference is that you'll just reverse the steps you took to remove it to replace it.

Alll you have to do is remove the radiator cover. Get a small flathead screwdriver and pop out all the clips, the center pops out, they are 2 pieces.

no

you do not have to remove the bumper to swap out the grille. it makes it easer to get the lower clips back in, but doesn't need to be done

we swapped out an 06 grille a couple weeks ago on a fellow members car.......took 5 minutes tops to swap them out

There should be 12 clips to remove on top of the radiator cover, after popping all the clips out using a flathead screwdriver, simply slide the grill out towards you.

There is 4 clips on the bottom of the grill but I didnt even have to remove them in order to get the grill out.

I rammed a Lincoln town car (well actually it was about 3 mph, but still my fault). The grill is pushed in, I will take pics before I remove it. I purchased a used grille from someone here on the boards for $130. But it didn't come with the inside chrome piece (the middle line) and the A symbol. I'm hoping to salvage that from mine, but if I cant ill have to order it. The problem is that the whole grille comes in pieces from parts suppliers. I tried to get the assembly, but it doesn't show up on the websites, so I just got someone's used grille.

yea, it will. there was no damage to the Lincoln. Whereas I damaged my grille and the bumper is slightly misaligned now.
