rattles and creaks disappears?

hi. i was wondering if anybody else had this happen to them.

i've had my tsx have those door rattles and creaks in the dashboard near the passenger side start at around 8,000 miles. it bothered me quite a bit. and when i came to this board for solutions and realized that the creaking and rattling may never really stop, i gave up and decided to live with it.

right now, my car is at 10,000 miles and suddenly i realized, the creaks and rattles disappeared. i tried listening for it on the way to work, but it's nowhere near as conspicuous as it used to be.

has this happened to anyone before? i'm wondering if it usually goes away for most people and it's just the plastic and stuff "breaking in" or whatever.

My dashboard creak disappeared completely. I fixed the window creaks with a little silicone spray.

I had the dashboard creak appear at around 600 mi. and then disappear about 600 miles later. Nothing creaking now.

I just sprayed a bit up in the window seals and wiped off any excess. I've only had to do it once but some people have to reapply it every now and then.

Seems to me that the creaks and rattles come and go with temperature changes.

I'm now getting the window creak on the driver side. It goes away when I blip the window open switch a tad ( I guess it reduces some of the pressure that the top of the window exerts on the upper rubber seal ). Also, I've had a minor creak coming from the sun/moon roof. I only hear it when the shade is open. I think the silicone treatment on the seals is in order. Now to my questions ..
Where can I buy a can of this silicone spray?
Any particular brand?
won't you help a out.

Any brand of silicone spray will be fine. Also get a can of white lithium grease for use on sunroof. Last longer than silicone. You can get these at any auto parts store.

I just picked mine up from Canadian Tire but I would assume that a pep boys or something along those lines would carry it in the US.

clean your rubber seals and they should go away, at least temporarily

These rattles drove me creasy from day 1 up until August 2004, then, after 5,000 miles all rattles magically despaired by itself.
8 month later still not a single rattle. 3 nocks on the wood.

I find the rattles/creaks are weather dependant for me... whenever it rains/snows the car is perfectly quiet... but as soon as the weather gets dry noises are coming from left/right/up/down haha...

My TSX has 28K and still has rattles, squeaks, creaks, buzzes and wind noise. This is the noisiest car I've owned in recent memory. I've still got a '97 Nissan Pathfinder with 160K that's quieter! I've said it before but this has been my BIGGEST disapointment with this car.

Unhappy dashboard cracking sound

My dashboard also makes a cracking sound when the car hits irregular surfaces on the road. It is definitely temperature dependent as it quits when the dashboard has been heated by sitting in the sun. Of course the dealer claims that they cannot reproduce the sound.
The fix apparently includes pulling the steering wheel and replacing the dash, so I don't think they're crazy about doing that. I'm also not confident that the fix won't produce even more problems and noises.
Has anybody else had a noise like this fixed? Any more problems created by pulling the dash? Is there some type of compound that can be applied to "soften/swell" the dash material to stop the sound?
Hope mine stops like some others. Currently have 3,500 miles. Seems like a quality auto like Acura shouldn't have rattle/creak problems that we are told we just have to live with.

I'm hoping some of the Warm weather "melts" my rattles. During the one or two nice days i've seen lately I did notice considerably less rattles from the TSX.

I think a lot of it is temp. dempendant. I have a small dash rattle that I usually can't hear thanks to XM, but it seems when I leave in the morning when the car is cold it's a lot more noticeable, and later on when it heats up it disappears.
