Question about Adding Coolant (off-brand) and above max.

I went to my mechanic, and after changing my oil, he added in some anti-freeze (another brand) into the coolant. It wasn't a honda brand, but I was wondering if it was okay. He only added in a little bit, but now its over the max line by an inch.

my car has 5,500 miles on it.

should this be okay?

but in the owner's manual it says to only use honda anti-freeze, and to use other brands only as temporary.
