We have come to see on numerous occasions with the 2G TL and CL that people running Hawks pads, Ceramic and HPS are experiencing this sort of issue.
Forum friends, take note of this. I've seen specials that included brake and rotors packages. This issue may cause the same problems that happened to me. If you decide to contact anyone with questions, I would recommend contacting HTA and RB simultaneously for best results.

As advised from a mechanic working for RB, I had the new front brake pads (ET300 Series) supplied from RB installed and had my front rotors resurfaced. I have to use more pressure when braking, but that was expected. The problem has subsided.

Now since I installed the front brakes AND front rotors I can't say with certainty the problem was fixed with the new brake pads, but the solution provided by RB worked.

I'm sure the admin and the advertiser had problems with the title of the thread, but half of the original post was indeed a problem contacting a HTA customer service rep. Oh well....I'm just pleased I finally got a response from SOMEONE.

Thanks again for everyone’s input. It's nice to have braking back!

Sorry you felt you had problems with us. The delays in my response were due to waiting for replies from Racingbrake. As you suggested, contacting HTA and RB regarding issues is the best best. When it is a warranty question like this, it is better to contact the manufacturer directly. While we are both concerned with parts quality, RB is ultimately responsible for handling issues like these and you will get replies faster.

By contacting us both you will be hitting up the people that can provide answers more directly (manufacturer) and the people that can vouch for purchase and service information (retailer) at once.

Issues had been sporadic until Racingbrake was able to formulate their own pad compounds in the ET series.

This is not to say the Hawks are bad pads. But the Racingbrake rotors are designed to withstand heavy braking and therefore need more aggressive pads to be fully effective.

I'm not trying to stir anything up, but i have an honest question that i think most consumers and readers here would ask.

On one hand you say you and RB have come to see numerous occasions hawks + RB rotors causing this issue. On the other, you say the issues had been sporadic. Can it be both ways?

If you were aware of these issues whether they are numerous occasions or sporadic, why is it that there's no disclaimer or more of a heads up to the consumer when you're selling these as package deals? It's one thing if you're selling these independent of each other, but when you package them together in sets and it gets a lot of coverage around here, I would expect there would be more disclosure about this.
