Problem with Rain-X latitude blades...

Alright so I installed the Rain-x latitudes, but there is a problem. The Driver Side one is perfect. But the passenger side blade doesn't clean properly. It misses like an inch towards the edge of the passenger side of the windshield. Its like the Blade is hovering over the windshield slightly towards the edge of it. I have a 2004 TSX. Do I need to bend the blade more or is it something else? I got the sizes they recommended in the Rain-X handbook at Wal-mart. I have the same issue with Michelin Radius blades on our 03 TL. I am assuming its because the windshields of newer cars are more curved and the blades fit better?

oh shit, that sucks, I bought the blade in october.. There goes 18 bucks, lol. I'll just wait til it wears out and get 15 next time. Thanks, and I should do the same with the other car right? Just get one size smaller? And if I get one size smaller on the passenger, should I get one size bigger on the driver side?

i've had the same problem. my resolution? i bent the blade a little to contour to the windshield. problem solved.

i also have this problem with the driver's side, as i'm left with a 2x2inch spot right in the middle of the windshield left untouched.

oh actually for the drivers side, what you do is make sure the blade is sitting on that little support over the blade casing. Because what happens is the blade holder in the TSX is straight and the rain-x blade is curved, so it ends up missing a section on the windshield. It took me a second to notice it the first time I used the blades back in october

yea thats what I just noticed actually. The smallest is 16, so I don't know where he might have got a size 15 blade.

if you look at the OEM blades, the attaching point is NOT centered like the aftermarket ones. This is whats causing this problem. im using the refills right now, still skips from time to time.

the other problem...they break. my passenger side blade snapped off the bracket this AM while driving to work in the rain. off it went flying to the side of the hwy. not happy since they were only on for 8-9 months. beware. i put a set of silblades back on since it was raining for the rest of the day here.

i would be weary of putting another set of rain-x latitudes on my car. yeah they perform great, but the quality of the product was poor. its a little disheartening to know that your windshield wiper could fail in a down pour, not mention dangerous. other amazon reviews have mentioned the same thing happening. so just FYI.

I highly reconmend the Valeo brand. They sell them on tirerack.com. They always have buy 1 get 1 free. so its 20bux plus shipping.

the rainx blades are nice i haven't put them on my tsx yet but they are on my '08 pathfinder and work beautifully. Maybe just size is the issue.
