I have to replace the positive battery cable due to corrosion (totally my fault for letting it get to this point). Has anyone done this before and if so, any tips/suggestions.

P.S. I already bought an OEM cable from a dealer in So. Cal

 

Disconnect the negative cable first and reconnect it last. Clean the mess with baking soda in warm water.
