Opinion about radio
I recently bought an '06. Later noticed that radio doesn't have bluetooth and the original owner must have swapped out the radio with an '05 version (has XM but no bluetooth).
I purchased a radio from ebay which turns out to be from a Canadian car (bluetooth but no XM). I may be able to return but it's my fault for not checking the part number before purchasing.
Couple of questions assuming I'm stuck with the ebay radio:
Is the bluetooth worth it to swap it out? (your opinion)
I have a SkiFi3 - anyone know a way to use the factory antenna for XM reception?
Anyone have a correct OEM radio for sale?

Bluetooth is useful if you want to use your phone while driving (especially since, by law, you need to use a handsfree device). I don't use my cell phone much, so I can live without the bluetooth.
Are you planning to subscribe to XM? If not, you might as well use the radio with bluetooth. After all, you can use CD's or a mp3 player.
The xm radio is that little "bump" on the roof near the rear windshield. It comes standard on the 06, so unless they removed it, the xm antenna is still there (and is simply disconnected from the radio).
I've noticed that there have been quite a few 06's being sold with 04/05 radios....I wonder if there's a conspiracy going on...

I have XM but use my SkiFi so I don't have to pay for two subscriptions (I used to when I owned an Accord). Just wondering if there is a way to use the stock antenna with my SkiFi.
Thanks for the advice.

Bluetooth is incredibly useful if you use it. If you're like me, and are one of the four people in the world who don't have a cell phone, it's useless. The only real question here is if you'll use it or not. If you do, it's worth it but if you don't, it's not.
Does the car still have the bump on the roof just above the rear window? If so, the antenna is still there. Getting to it might be another issue though. The XM module is located behind the trim in the trunk on the passenger side. I removed mine temporarily when I was doing my Accord cargo net. If I remember right, it had a standard XM antenna jack on it with a plastic locking ring. The only problem would be getting it extended into the passenger compartment. But if you can do that, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to.
Now, does the car have the rest of the components for the HFL system? The steering wheel buttons and the mic?

Oh yeah, the car has everything - it's an '06 so the buttons and everything are there. My phone connected but nothing would play on the radio (because it was the wrong one). I guess the previous leasee swiped the radio/had it stolen and replaced it with an '05 version. Thanks for the info - if I decide to add my SkyFi I can just try to run antenna to the center console and then connect to the aux port.
Just as an update. Installed the canadian TSX radio. Have bluetooth now. If I hit the cd/aux button it will play XM radio but no display so I guess it potentially could work if I ever want to get another subscription.
