OEM intake part with Injen CAI

problem is exactly what the picture says.

It is an OEM part, don't know what to call it exactly, but the position where i am pointing at was broken/cut due to frequent tightening with metal bracket.

Since then, when i give a little gas push and open the hood to check, it snaps off of the Injen CAI.

i know many members performed with their own DIY of bypassing this tube and jus connected from engine to the intake with one rubber tube.

but i'm looking for this part' number, i would like to get it from the dealer or possibly online.

i checked of course, but all the online part websites for OEM tsx does not have this part....

please help me if you know,

Thanks a lot

You don't even need that part (unless you are leasing). It is there for the tree hugger's association for annoying the auto industry group. I think someone on here figured a way to totally remove it and make some hoses work.

Yea, it's the Chamber! I had the same exact thing happen to me too. I bought the part for like $10.xx at Acura dealership. I have always wanted to replace the piece with the hose, but when I asked in the other threads, no one answered =(. I just wanted to know what type of hose, and what size diameter.

I can't see the pic here at work but assume it's the hose that goes from the tiny air-box thing on top of the CAI, to the valve cover area. Mine kept popping off too with the silly contraption Acura had devised. I was actually getting engine work done at the dealership and when it was done, the head tech said "oh, and I replaced that hose thing that kept falling off with a new hose of the right length". Was pretty cool about it, and all it really is is a hose thatroughly matches the inner diameter (ID) of the grey metal sleeve in the existing setup, and then a hose clamp on each end, voila.

Thanks, but I think the problem with the hose that I saw was that from the Injen intake to the the connection to the engine cover, is a big difference.

If anyone out there has pictures of the CHAMBER being replaced by a tube, Please post it! Been searching, but can't find them!

Thanks everyone for help
I just ordered the part at the dealer, it's about 7 bucks.
I will install this before i leave michigan for winter break to NJ.

yea i had somewhat a unique problem compared to other aftermarket intake guys.
my main problem was that i kept tightening the metal bracket , ot knowing that the plastic air chamber is broken.

anyways, thanks

Just out of curiosity, what is that thing? What's the functional reason it can't just be a hose like every other car I've ever owned? I assumed it was just for blow by gas scavenging the first time I saw it. Does it do anything else?

literally what the part discription says. it's air flow chamber i guess..

it sucks up air when the engine is on obviously, ad when i give it a little hard gas push, it popped out (in my case, the part was broken).

it's been popping out for 3~4 weeks, so eh wtvr why not jus change it ...

Yup, it's the intake for the PCV system. Air gets sucked into the valve cover and then down into the crank case, where it comes back out through the PCV valve and into the intake manifold to be burnt.
