odyssey battery Problem

I'm currently Using a Odyssey battery PC 680 and I'm having a odd problem with it discharging a lot of power. I use a odyssey battery charger and I always charge in it up to 100% and then I take it of the charger for about 1-2 days. When I but the battery back on the charger the percent of power on the battery has dropped to about 50-45%. I really don't think this is normal. Does anybody else think that my battery has gone bad?

No, I think there is something in the car sapping power. Use a DC ammeter to check the current draw when the car is shut down; should be below (say) 50 milliamperes. If so, it's not the car but a defective battery. Pull it and have it tested at Advance Auto or some other parts store with a comprehensive battery tester. If both the car and battery check out, the charger is suspect. (Does the battery really discharge that much after 2 days?)

What I'm trying to say is once I charge the battery completely and take it of the charger for a few days, without installing it into the car. The battery is already down by 50-45% in just two days.

I took of the charger after it was fully charged then but in back on to get charged and the charger says that the battery is 50-45%. Please not that I haven't installed the battery back into the car.

You didn't say the battery was out of the car - that makes a difference. Now I'm saying your charger indication of 50-45% is suspect. Take the battery to a reliable battery shop for testing.

All batteries will do that. The meter on the charger is just an indication of the amps it's flowing into the battery. A fully charged battery that just came off the charger will 100% because the electrolyte is highly ionized and has nowhere to put any extra electrons. It will de-ionize somewhat on it's own and slowly seep hydrogen gas. When you put it back on the charger it has some capacity to ionize the electrolyte again so it takes a charge and the meter reflects this. You'll notice it very quickly reports a full charge as it becomes highly ionized again.

In short, you're battery is almost certainly fine.
